Prayer Book Repair Bee
There is a signup poster in the narthex for two-hour work sessions, October 26 to November 6, most weekdays Monday to Friday, mornings from 10:00 AM to noon, afternoons from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, and a few evenings from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Sign up for one or more, bring a bag lunch and do both a morning and an afternoon in one day. Sign up with a friend and talk almost the whole time. Tea, coffee, and tap water provided. Instruction, supervision, tools, and supplies (special glue, tape, Japanese repair papers, touch up colours) provided. Bring sharp paper scissors if you have a pair, bring a bone folder if you have one, but neither required. If you miss church service opportunity to sign the poster, phone Gloria during her office hours and get her to put your name on the poster to reserve your spot. Maximum per session: John and-or Donna plus four volunteer positions. The book hospital work does not require strong muscles nor good hearing but has some fiddle factor. Learn a skill for your own books at home. Free labour makes it a great savings for our parish compared to buying new books. Questions? Call Donna or John Uncles at 403-288-7636. |

Need a ride to church?
We are aware that some members would love to attend services in person but are unable to because of lack of transportation. If you are in that position, we would like to offer you the chance to be driven to services by other parish members. Please contact the office and let Gloria know which service(s) you would like to attend, and we will try to arrange a driver for you. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex for anyone willing to drive others to church. |
