Announcements
Birthday Box - first Sunday of each month

  Starting June 6, and on the first Sunday of each month, we will have a birthday box to celebrate anyone you know - family, friends, etc. - having a birthday that month. Put a coin in the box and help support "birthday buddies", a current Children's Ministry project.

 
St. Edmund's Garage Sale June 12

St. Edmund's is holding their annual garage sale on June 12, 9-5. Their are seeking donations. Everything must be clean and usable. They cannot accept baby beds, cribs,highchairs, car seats, mattresses, waterbeds, metal bedsprings, bunk beds or hide-a-beds. No old chesterfields, tires, dishwashers, tvs, lawn mowers or exercise equipnment. Please drop off your donations at St. Edmund's, 8336 34th Ave. NW (Bowness): Holy Cross' donations box is for the food bank only. Thanks.  For more information about St. Edmund's click here.

Recent News

   At the Special Meeting of May 16 2010, we received better than 2/3 vote in favour of pursuing the concept for the parish's building plans. The Building Committee has taken these results to the Diocese and await word as to how to proceed.  Stay tuned!

   We will be producing a new pictorial directory in fall 2010: stay tuned for information!

    Both book clubs have reviewed their explorations in the June newsletter: read about it here!

   The Children's MInistry recently completed a joint project with Christ Church sewing pillowcase dresses for Uganda. The present project is with the charity Birthday Buddies to support chilldren in Calgary who would otherwise not be able to have a celebration.
