Christmas in September? Not quite, but it’s never too early to start thinking about this year’s Bazaar! Please bring 4 and 8oz Bernardin type jelly/jam gars and stash them at the church. Boxes will be above the coat rack for the empty jars. You are invited to take these jars home and fill them with some of your garden abundance: jams, jellies, and pickles, to donate to the bake and deli table at the upcoming Candy Cane Tea and Bazaar on Saturday, November 25, 2017. Watch for more details in the next parish newsletter and mark your calendar!
October Newsletter Now Online
Holy Cross holds a Lectio Divina session almost every month, but did you know that you can understand the Sunday liturgy in the same way? Click here for the newsletter and be sure to read Rev. Kyle’s discussion about this!
“In Quietness and Rest” meditations on Women of the Bible on the 4th Tuesday of the month from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in the St. Cyprian Room at Holy Cross with facilitator Joan Kendrick.
We will hear a summary of the woman being studied and questions will be posed. After practicing breathing and relaxation techniques, we will listen for inspiration from God when we enter deeper stillness and silence. There will be an opportunity to speak from the silence in a supportive group environment before offering prayers of petition and thanksgiving.
October 24 – Rebecca
November 28 – Ruth
