Third Sunday of AdventDecember 14 Advent Bible Study is on Thursdays at 7:00 PM in the St. Cyprian room. Parish Council has been given the privilege of presenting “The Christmas Story” to you. This 1 hour and 45-minute movie, produced by The Chosen, will be screened on December 19th and 20th at 7:00 PM. The entry fee is a dozen purchased or homemade cookies per household which will be served with hot chocolate. Please sign up on the sheet in the narthex so that we know how many people are attending each evening. For more information, speak to Deacon Carol, Mary M or Kathy. The December Cursillo Ultreya gathering will be held on Saturday (not Friday), December 13 at 1:00 PM at St. Leonard's on the Hill, 4241 - 44 Street, Red Deer. To be attributed to the the 2025 tax year, donations must be received by December 31, 2025. Providing cheques are dated December 31, 2025 or earlier, they can be received up to January 4, 2026. Occasionally the front door does not latch properly, so please ensure that it is fully closed when leaving through it. If it doesn't close, come back into the vestibule and press the panic bar fully on the middle, then exit again. There will be no Holy Communion service at 9:30 AM on December 24th or 31st.

Poinsettias
Pick up an order form from the narthex or download one to contribute toward poinsettias which will decorate the church at Christmas. Put the completed form and payment of $16 per poinsettia on the offertory plate or in the folder holder next to the office by December 14.

Furnace Fundraiser
Check out the board in the narthex for our fundraiser to replace our aging furnaces. Take one (or more!) envelopes from the board and include your donation by cash, cheque or e-transfer to donations@holycrosscalgary.org. For more information, speak to Kathy M. |

Cookie ChallengeSunday, December 14, 2025 Calling all our fabulous bakers, our Annual Cookie Challenge will be December 14th after the 10:00 AM service. Those wishing to enter their delights are asked to bring 4 dozen bite size cookies. There are prizes for the top 3 entries. Parish Council is looking for pictures and videos of Holy Cross events and gatherings, including of ministry activities, clubs, fundraisers, and generally anything that represents your experience at or with our church. The images will be used for in-house videos, newsletters, and outreach. All images will be vetted for individual security by asking for permission for their use. Need a ride to church?
We are aware that some members would love to attend services in person but are unable to because of lack of transportation. If you are in that position, we would like to offer you the chance to be driven to services by other parish members. Please contact the office and let Gloria know which service(s) you would like to attend, and we will try to arrange a driver for you. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex for anyone willing to drive others to church. |

This short service of Evening Prayer consists of scripture, reflection, and prayers. Everyone is welcome.
