Children's Ministries

Holy Cross firmly believes that children are NOT the church of tomorrow, they are part of the church of TODAY.  For this reason, we offer a variety of different avenues to involve children in the life and worship of the church.  Every sunday, there is a specific time for the children to come up and get a special teaching from our Rector.  This 'kid's time'  involves a lot of interaction with the children, and you never really know what is going to happen.  It is a fun time for the children to experience, and a joy for the parents to watch.  After this, the children go to Sunday School which contains clases for children preschool aged through to grade 6.  Children grade 7 and up are welcome to take part in our Youth Group.  Simply click on the Youth Pages to find out more information regarding this.  We also have a nursery which is available to any parent with a young infant.

For those children who are looking for more active particpation in the life of the Church, Holy Cross offers the chance to be invovled in the Servers Ministry, or the Tone-Chime Choir.  Simply speak to Reverend Kyle if you are your child is interested in any of these things.

More than anything, Holy Cross values the children in our midst, by understanding that the noises children naturally make are blessed noises that sadly, many churches go without.  Thus we try to provide a safe environment for them to sqirm, fidgit, wander, and make  noises that often accompany small children. After the service, there is always a refreshment time where there is always something yummy and delicious for the chidren to enjoy.

Not only are we happy when you come and worship with us., we are happy when your child comes to worship with us.  It is our hope and prayer that you get something meaningful out of the service, and that your child has a great experience.
